Vishal is an India-qualified lawyer with over 11 years of experience, who specialises in contentious as well as non-contentious matters pertaining to the energy and infrastructure sector.

He has extensively represented clients in litigation mandates across the country and also has significant experience in advising clients on M&A and other transactional advisory mandates pertaining to the sector.

Some of Vishal’s clients include, Actis, Blupine Energy, Adani Energy Solutions, Sembcorp, Avaada Energy, Azure Power, Brookfield Asset Management, and industry associations, such as Green Energy Association. Representing Blupine Energy, a renewable energy platform backed by Actis, in a real estate dispute affecting the project land of its 70 MW under construction project in Chhattisgarh.
Representing Blupine Energy in relation to its claims before the GERC seeking extension of COD of its 200 MW wind project in Gujarat.
Representing MSEDCL in its various disputes with Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt. Ltd. before the CERC and APTEL and the Supreme Court.
Representing MSEDCL in its various disputes with Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt. Ltd. before the CERC and APTEL and the Supreme Court.

Advised Statkraft AS, a sovereign backed energy utility, on all regulatory and litigation related aspects of their divestment of entire renewable energy portfolio in India comprising various hydro, solar and hybrid assets.
Advised Jindal Power on all regulatory and litigation related aspects of its acquisition of Apraava Energy’s 1320 MW thermal power project located in Jhajjar, Haryana.
Advised Gentari Sdn Bhd, the renewable energy arm of Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, Petronas, on all regulatory and litigation related aspects of its acquisition of Brookfield Asset Management’s 2.2 gigawatts (GW) of renewable assets.
