Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas assisted Marriott International, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “Marriott”) on the landmark JW Marriott Residences portfolio projects in Gurugram. Our scope of work involved (a) advising on the framework for sale of units and subsequent maintenance of common areas in applicable real estate projects across India, with a focus on projects in Haryana, (b) undertaking exhaustive title investigation of the land parcels forming part of the portfolio projects, and advising Marriott on related aspects from time to time on the overall structure to be adopted for the portfolio projects, and (c) preparing and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents relating to licensing of marks and management in connection with the proposed residences projects.
