Anand has more than 8 years of experience in M&A, financing and the project development within the infrastructure sector including renewable energy, airports and transmission sectors.

Anand has advised several domestic and international clients, including banks, financial institutions, private equity firms and large Indian corporate houses. He has anchor counsel for clients on large ticket and complex overseas transactions and worked on some of the largest infrastructure transactions in the country.

Relevant Experience:

Advised Adani Group on the acquisition of SoftBank Group’s 5 GW India portfolio of renewable energy assets.
Advised Adani Group on the acquisition finance for the acquisition of Holcim’s cement assets in India, which is one of the largest ever acquisition finance deal by an Indian conglomerate and has been recognized in various publications including IBLJ and IFLR.
Advised Essar Group from a financing perspective in relation to divestment of the Ports and Power infrastructure assets to ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel.
Advised Mumbai International Airport Limited in relation to their fund raise from funds managed by Apollo (one of the largest ever USD private placements in India).
Advised AM Green in relation to structuring and other issues on setting up of a joint venture for manufacture of green ammonia with Gentari.
Advised Adani Green Energy Limited in relation to a joint venture with Total S.A. to house 2.148 and 1.050 GW of operating solar projects across 11 states in India.
Advised GVK Group and Adani Group on the acquisition of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai
Advised CLP India Private Limited, in relation to acquisition of 100% of shareholding in 3 solar power projects in Telangana from Mahindra Renewables Private Limited.
