He regularly advises multinational companies on a host of engineering disputes. He has advised and acted as counsel in various disputes in power and infrastructure projects.

Kapil’s expertise in dispute resolution ranges from the matters that are subject to both domestic and international commercial arbitration and litigation before the Supreme Court of India and High Courts.

He has also successfully represented leading Companies in corporate fraud and white-collar crimes.

• Acting on behalf of a China based company in an international commercial arbitration against an Indian company, where the dispute arose from an EPC contract for construction of power plant. The claim was valued at USD 250 million. The place of arbitration being Singapore.
• Acting for a foreign company to obtain interim protection against invocation of Bank Guarantees worth USD 200 million, by an Indian Company, before the Orissa High Court and District Court, under Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.
• Acting for a Chinese company in an international commercial arbitration against an Indian Cooling Tower company, where the dispute arose out of an EPC contract for construction of Cooling Towers for a power plant. The claim amount was USD 50 million.
• Acting for a Chinese company in an international commercial arbitration against an Indian company for a claim of about USD 20 million, the place of arbitration being Singapore.
• Acting for a Chinese company in an international commercial arbitration against an Indian company before International Chamber of Commerce, Paris.
• Acting for a Chinese company in an international commercial arbitration against an Indian company arising out of Joint Venture for the Delhi Metro.
• Represented a Chinese company in arbitration proceedings against an Indian company to recover approximately USD 300 million.
