She also has extensive experience in private equity investments, joint ventures as well as a range of corporate advisory matters across industry sectors. She has advised on a significant number of high-profile and complex transactions, and is an expert in issues pertaining to structuring, documentation and implementation of M&A transactions and advising on regulatory issues including under foreign investment and SEBI laws. In the area of private equity, Nivedita has considerable experience in advising international private equity funds in relation to their investments in India (PIPE deals as well as growth deals) and has also advised Indian companies which have received private equity investments.

  • Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited on its proposed subscription to shares of Max Financial in consideration for the transfer of certain shares held by MSI in Max Life Insurance Company Limited (Max Life) to Max Financial.
  • WestBridge Crossover Fund, LLC, Aravali Investment Holdings, Jwalamukhi Investment Holdings in relation to sale of its 24.87% stake in DFM Foods Limited to AI Global Investments (Cyprus) PCC.
  • Varian Medical Systems, Inc. in its acquisition of Cancer Treatment Services International.
  • Thomson Reuters International Services Private Limited in relation to the sale of equity shares of Pangea3 Legal Database System Private Limited to Ernst & Young (EY). The sale was part of the global divestment of Thomson Reuter’s Pangea3 LPO business to EY.
