Prajna is an M&A and PE lawyer with over a decade of post-qualification experience.

Her primary practice areas are inbound M&A (with a focus on healthcare and financial services), PE investments and exits (control and minority), strategic mergers, amalgamations and joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and general corporate advisory.

Relevant Experience:

• Columbia Asia Group on the sale of its Indian hospital chain valued at USD 280 million to Manipal.
• State Bank of India on the establishment of a “payments bank” JV with Reliance Industries Limited.
• JPMorgan Mutual Fund on the sale of all its schemes to Edelweiss Mutual Fund.
• Religare Enterprises Limited on its exit from Religare Invesco Mutual Fund.
• Essel Infraprojects on the sale of operational transmission assets and the proposed sale of under-construction transmission assets to Edelweiss.

• Morgan Stanley Private Equity on its purchase of a controlling stake in India’s largest urology hospital chain.
• GIC Singapore on the buyout by a Singapore-based JV between GIC and Xander of TSI Business Parks (Hyderabad) Private Limited which owned and operated a commercial office space SEZ facility called ‘Waverock’, valued at USD 259 million, from a JV between Allianz and Shapoorji Pallonji.
• State Bank of India on its merger with 6 banks to create a global top 50 bank with an asset base of USD 450 billion, adding over USD 120 billion to SBI’s asset base and making it the first ever large-scale consolidation in India’s banking sector.
• Altaris Capital Partners, LLC and MTS Health Investors, LLC (both US PE funds) on their investments in AGS Health Private Limited (a healthcare BPO services company), and the acquisition of its US subsidiary.
