Ravi is a dual UK and India qualified lawyer who specializes in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business restructuring, cross-border transactions, general corporate advisory and providing assistance with India entry strategy.

He has assisted strategic as well as financial investors on various M&As and has also been involved in assisting clients on outbound transactions from India, complex international commercial arrangements, franchising, procurement tenders, LLP/ partnership arrangements, structuring, FEMA, regulatory and governance advisory.

He has over 20 years of experience. He joined the Firm in April 2016, after spending over a decade working in the UK where he gained rich and diverse experience in private practice as well as in-house. He has acted for several national and international clients with their transactions in India and internationally.

His significant experience spreads across sectors and industries, with a particular focus on Pharmaceutical, Lifesciences, Infrastructure, Education and Manufacturing sector.

  • Adani Group entity Renew Exim DMCC on its acquisition of 46.64% stake in ITD Cementation India from Italian-Thai Development Public Company, Thailand, the assistance includes obtaining regulatory approvals and assistance with open offer.
  • Zydus Wellness on its acquisition of Naturell (India) which includes the brand Ritebite known for its protein bar.
  • CG Power (a Murugappa group company) on its acquisition of Radio Frequency front-end and RapidIO components business of Renesas Electronics America.
  • Inc. in the US, India and other jurisdictions where the business operations of Renesas RapidIO business were located.
  • Sorbead India and Swambe Chemicals on the acquisition of their respective businesses by Zeochem AG, an affiliate of CPH Group, Switzerland.
  • Deepak Nitrite subsidiary Deepak Chem Tech in its acquisition of Narmada Thermal Power.
  • Zenex Animal Health (a PE backed animal healthcare company) in relation to legal due diligence, drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents associated with the acquisition of 100% stake in Ayurvet (part of the Dabur family).
  • Swiss Parenterals in relation to vendor legal due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents along with ancillary documents for its sale of 51% percent equity stake to Eris Lifesciences Limited.
  • Leading healthcare group on acquisition of majority stake in a health-tech company.
  • One of India’s leading pharmaceutical company in relation to its acquisition of additional minority equity stake in an API manufacturing company from an outgoing non-resident shareholder.
  • Global management consulting firm in relation to structuring of its investment in one of India’s largest wellness company.
  • Gujarat’s leading pharmaceutical company in relation to legal and regulatory due diligence, corporate restructuring, and potential sale of majority stake held by its founders to a foreign PE investor, as part of a bidding process.
