Relevant Experience:
Advised a consortium of 12 international/domestic lenders, led by Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., (Hong Kong Branch) for financing of the development and establishment of the first 400 MW Round the Clock Renewable (RTC-RE) Project in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka developed by the Renew Group. This was awarded ‘PFI – Green Deal of the Year’ and ‘APLMA Renewable Energy Deal of the Year’.
Advised International Finance Corporation, Societe de Promotion et de Participation pour La Cooperation Economique, Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG and Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor anOntwikkelingslanden N.V. on the financing availed by the Azure group, which was the then largest solar rooftop debt financing in India and was the first financing provided by multilateral institutions, development financial institutions and international banks, in the solar rooftop space in India.
Advised a consortium of 12 international banks and financial institutions in respect of the financing of 1.69 GW hybrid portfolio of solar and wind renewable projects being developed by four special purpose vehicles by subsidiaries of Adani Green Energy Limited in the state of Rajasthan, India. This is one of the largest revolving project financing deals in the renewable sector in Asia. The facility is the first certified green hybrid project loan in India.
Advised Asian Development Bank with respect to loan facilities extended to the subsidiaries of SAEL Industries Limited for the purpose of financing the construction and development of 74.5 MW biomass energy projects undertaken by the Borrowers on a consolidated basis in Rajasthan, India.
Advised Asian Development Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in relation to the financing for the construction and development of 400 MW grid connected solar photovoltaic power project at Village Shapar, Surendranagar District, Gujarat being developed by Enren Energy Private Limited.
Advised Greenko group in respect of negotiation and finalisation of construction contracts for the development of a ‘round the clock’ renewable energy project with 975 MW by ArcelorMittal, which is supported by Greenko’s hydro pumped storage project in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Advised Mahindra Susten Private Limited in developing a template supply agreement for the supply of various components of the battery energy storage system (BESS), which is aligned to prevalent market standards (both domestically and internationally).
Advised International Finance Corporation in respect of conducting an international competitive bid process for appointment of a contractor for development of bulk water supply project in the Greater Colombo region of Sri Lanka to augment supply of treated water, under a PPP model. Our role inter alia included drafting of the concession agreement.
Advised International Finance Corporation and Tata Cleantech Capital with respect to the financial assistance provided to subsidiary of VA Tech Wabag Limited to design, build and operate new sewage treatment plants, renovation and up-gradation of existing sewage treatment plants, rehabilitation of pumping stations and other associated infrastructure in the Bally, Arupara and Baranagar areas of Kolkata.
